It’s been a year of big changes and even bigger thanks…

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I posted the last time here on this blog! Today, I’m here to say, I’m back.. I’ve moved to a new apartment, I just got my internet connection installed and I’m getting into the swing of things.

If you haven’t heard, I’m working at Sony Electronics now as their Social Media Evangelist. It’s a great opportunity and I’m very excited about what is ahead. Make sure to check the Sony Electronics Community Blog, as that’s were I will be on a regular basis! I’ll explain more about my job and what I’m doing there at a later time… today I wanted to make sure to say hello, and thanks! Thanks to all of you who have kept up with my transition and have offered friendship and support. Looking at the calendar I realized that I started this website one year ago! Look at how much life has changed in one year. I almost can’t believe it.
At some point I want to tell you all about how this happened. Many of you who know me from Seemic know much about the trials, tribulations and celebrations of the past year. It’s all been quite fantastic.

I’ll be seeing some of you at Blog World tomorrow. If we haven’t met in real life yet and you are in Vagas for Blog World, please make sure to say hello!

Here is what was happening in my life last year…. this video makes me laugh now. I called it So What Are You Doing Now, Sukhjit?

  • great vlog! where'd you move from? I just moved too, so I can sympathize.
  • Hi David! Wow. You are awesome for coming to my site and leaving a comment! That makes me happy. I moved from SF in September. You just moved too!? From where?
  • BryanBuchan
Very happy to see you so happy Sukhjit!

augh! as if i only saw this now. Glad to see you again Sukhjit! :) Apartment looks pretttty sweeet! Hopefully next time you've got something to sit on and you can give us a tour :)

Really glad you're happy! And look forward to seein another vid soon!
  • Hey JB! Great to see a comment from you, thank you for taking the time to visit and get caught up. The apartment is nice, and it's exciting to start from scratch. The job is awesome and totally challenging so I haven't put much time in decorating but I will once I'm more settled at work. You're right about the tour. Once I get a little furniture I will vlog about it.

Thank you again for the visit. Hope all is well with you!
    Sukhjit
  • You're back! Of course I see you almost daily on the Sony site and Twitter, so I'm up-to-date on work (yea!) and your smoking neighbors (boo!). :)

I look forward to seeing the furniture fill the place up (although the floors do look great).

    Have fun.
  • Hi Ray! Always nice to see a note from you! Thanks for paying attention =) As you know, I'm getting comfortable in my new role at Sony. Hey, I was thinking of posting one or 2 of the videos here to give my friends and family a taste of the work I get to do. What do you think? Any of the Sony post I've done strike you as good material for my personal blog? I was thinking some of the stuff from NYC and the VAIO event.. and maybe the product I got to announce, the S-Series Photo Printer... any thoughts on this topic? --sukhjit
  • awesome! - best of luck. we will be watching! ;0
  • Thanks for the note Phil! I'm so happy you left a comment here! Hope all is well with you. When is your next trip to the states?
  • Did you setup a new television yet? TV and a new pad is essential to keep the blah's from setting in. I'm also going through a life change as well. but moving will come later down the road.

    Stay up!!
  • Tony, did I ever respond to this comment? I don't think I did and I'm so happy to read it and know that you stopped by. Yeah, the blah's are a problem, but a gentle nudge from a friend to "stay up" puts a smile back on my face. Thanks for that, my friend.
  • yeah. i'm busy trying to help out a hyperlocal project called conkertu - i guess my next trip to the states will be early next year now. have a great day.
  • WOW look at that new place!!! Shiny floors and all so cool! And the internet helps as well does that mean you have cable too so you can get a big old Sony Flat Screen in there? :)

    ta ta for now :)
  • I need to figure out what tv to get! I don't know where to begin!
  • cindydickens
Hi Sukhjit - Such a cute video. Keep em coming. I hope your enjoying San Diego. We still need to get together.

  • RJ! I have the internet now! Let's have a skype date! Hope you are well.. by the way you look amazing in the green site where you're competing! I hope you win!!!
  • congrats on being back in the connected world, its a good thing you had a cell phone, i would have gone crazy after about 4 days without internet. i look forward to seeing more of your posts both here and on the Sony blog, i'm actually about to make a big Sony purchase soon so it makes me feel a little better about spending my money when i know they hire people that know what they are doing =)
  • Eric! How are you? Yeah, let me tell you ... I've been hanging out at a lot of internet cafes since I moved. It's actually been kind of a good thing for me... to get out and discover this town. I think you'd like SD a lot.

So what are you getting from the Sony? Do tell?! I'm amazed that I didn't know you were a Sony Fan. =)
  • i love SD i've been there twice before, both times during the winter on the east coast so i appreciated the 75 degree temp in January a lot more. I used to be a big Sony junkie, i had a friend from Japan bring me back my first MP3 player back in 2000 (i was the coolest guy in my office for a while), back in those days if Sony didnt make it, i didnt need it. Then the iPod came out and Apple won me back.

As for the purchase, you'll think this is really nerdy, but i want to buy a Sony Aibo robot dog. I recently found out that Sony stopped making them but i've wanted one for years. i'm a robotics nerd and i dont really have time for a real pet so i'm looking around eBay for a good deal.
  • You are KILLING me! I love Aibo! I had one for a short time while I worked at the travel channel. It was part of a segment I did... I can't remember on what, but I got to keep it for about a month. It was so cute, unfortunately much like a real dog, it needed to be trained and I didn't have the patience. Good luck with your search. I'll ask around.. though I kind of already did and just found out about they've been discontinued too.
