Gnomadic Hearts is a film produced by my friend Andy Orin and the music in this film is composed by Conner Vanderbeek, who just happens to be my very talented 16 year old nephew. A few weeks ago I posted a song of Conner’s called View From A Crater. Andy saw the song and… there you have it… a collaboration between two people connected because of social media. I love this film. It is a cute story about a girl and her gnome. If I remember right, Andy shot it on 8mm which is why the texture is so beautiful and old fashioned.

  • Since I am not a fan of garden gnomes, I found this oddly disturbing.. Andy, great cinematography bro, I had no idea you created content. Conner, that music was lovely. I wonder how many smurfs tried out for the role... hm...
  • G!!!! I'm glad you had a look. As a composer and vlogger I know you appreciate both Andy and Conner's work. BTW- I'm thinking maybe gnomes are a girl thing. I don't know a single girl who doesn't think gnomes are super cute. Super cute and very different then smurfs!

  • Laura! I'm so happy you stopped by here. Yeah, I'm a big fan of this movie. It is really cute. I'm also so proud of my nephew! It's funny because as his aunt I'm a little biased! But, to hear you all like it too... well.. that's just a really nice feeling. BTW- I made a big error, Conner was 15 when he composed that song. He made sure to correct me on that.

    Great to see you here and it was so fun seeing you at the Digg party last week.
