Which ones should I get?

I went to see my eye doctor today, Dr Nicholas Vrouvas. Dr Nic said it’s time to change my prescription so, I’m getting new glasses. I tried on about 20 pairs and the ones in the video are my top 6 choices. Which is your favorite? Will you help me decide? I’m going to order by the end of the week, so let me know by then. Thanks Friends!

Oh and by the way, if you are looking for an Optometrist in San Francisco, Dr Nic is your guy. Aside from being great at what he does, he also has the latest and most high tech equipment. His office is one of a handful in the Bay Area to have a laser ophtalmoscopes which is a laser scanning tool that takes a high resolution color image of the inside of your eye. I saw incredibly detailed pictures of the inside of my eyeballs. Eww. Actually it was very cool, Dr Nic discovered an interesting freckle in my left eye. It’s nothing to worry about but still really interesting to see up close.

Ok, now back to the glasses… what do you think? Which ones should I get?

  • go with F, the color looks good on you. you might want to try a smaller frame though, i get big nerdy frames cause i have a big head, you've got an average sized head so you dont want frames that are going to either make your head look bigger or overshadow the rest of your face. Choosing glasses is a big step, your frames say alot about you and what you think looks best on you, its a difficult process. Now that i think about it, its about time i went in for some new specs. Have fun =)

    Normally I can make firm decisions. But in the past when I've gotten new frames, making the decision is tough. I do not envy the choice you have to make. =)
  • I am not a huge fan of any of them, but for practical reasons. When you have those thick side rails, you cut down some of your peripheral vision. Go for laser surgery. Was that an option?

  • D and E seem like the best fit - I like D. For no other reason but the fact it looks like my glasses and appears to be lighter. I don't like heavy glasses.

  • I went on a tour of Florence in Italy and the tout guide had the black Armani glasses you had near the end...very striking made her look like an authority on the subjects she was telling us about. I always remember those glasses long after Ive forgot all the things she told me :-)
  • What a great story! I love that and I be if the tour guide heard this story she would have been flattered.

    I just put my first ever poll on my site. It's a bit late as most people have already commented on what glasses I should get via comments, tweets, and FB notes but it's still fun to see what people think about being a part of the decision making process!

    Ohh i finally worked out how to watch your video!!
    Now on this subject I think that all of the frames were too small for your face, so something a little bigger, but I did love the green sides on one pair

As for the glasses, the smaller frames seem to be the fashion! My last pair was even smaller. I'd keep those, but my prescription has changed enough that it is time for a new pair! Looks like the green ones are favored by most people. I went ahead and ordered them. Will make sure to post with them once they arrive! Thank you again for taking the time to look at my vlog.   • aww... that is nice.. hopefully it is a nice aura! I did not try contacts. Part of the reason why, is because I don't like putting things in my eyes. I get really scared!   • Yes! Too late for picking glasses (I got the green ones) BUT so glad you stopped by and left a comment anyway. You are the second person to suggest lasik. Truth be told, my prescription is for driving at night or going to the movies and things like that... so i'd don't wear my glasses on a regular basis. PLUS, I kind of like them for the look!   • I cannot see the green one clear, but I will vote for it... The white one has wide legs. I wear specs so wide legs are trouble specially when you drive. It just numb your reflexes by blocking the light from interacting with your retina.
